Maximizing INclusion and Diversity in Science, Engineering, and Technology
Our goal: to combat the STEM pipeline attrition rate seen in ALL underrepresented groups through faculty and peer mentoring.
Our format: monthly 1 hour group mentoring meetings between faculty sponsors and graduate students and postdocs to receive advice and support as they navigate their scientific careers.
Our members: those interested in maximizing inclusion and diversity in STEM.

OUR FIRST EVENT: Friday, November 18th at 1:30 pm, GMCS 313. Please join us for pizza and a lecture by Maria del Pilar O’Cadiz, Ph.D., Education Director, NSF Nanosystems Engineering Reserach Center for Translational Applications of Nanoscale Multiferroic Systems, UCLA.
She will present a talk on improving the STEM pipeline with a focus on underrepresented minorities.
